It comes

As a shock

Occasionally

A sideways glance

I can’t remember what I said

Just now

Because look at you

Just look at you

It’s less

Than a second

But

It feels like eternity

How are you so perfect in

Your wild

Unpredictable ways

It makes no sense

Yet it does

And I don’t want it to mean

Anything more

Or anything less

Than it is

Or what it should be
