To Blue
In a fit of insomnia I see us
Sitting opposite a table in candlelight
More distant by the second
I would become fog
If only to caress you
To be felt by you, breathed by you
To reflect your voice off drops of water
Yet I cannot speak of you
Instead you blind me
A world of closed eyes
All the shadows have been yours alone
My voice shatters trying to describe it
I learn to forget you
Only, I can’t forget our memories
Your outline in the flaming sunset
Colors faded long ago, to blue
