The Drums

Do you feel the drums?

In the distance the ground shakes

Do you feel the drums?

It seems like an earthquake

Do you feel the drums?

It’s much like what the heart makes

Wild and free

Do you feel the drums?

Like stomping your feet

Do you feel the drums?

Loud rhythm so sweet

Do you feel the drums?

As you march on to meet

The golden dawn

Do you feel the drums?

Growling in your bones

Do you feel the drums?

A hum guiding you home

Do you feel the drums?

The path is unknown

But still you carry on

Do you see the drums?

They’re just over the ridge now

Do you see the drums?

What was lost has been found

Do you see the drums?

And the people all around

Pick up your drum and play

Do you know the drums?

Because they’ve long known you

Do you know the drums?

They’ve seen the hard roads too

Do you know the drums?

They are glad we’re through

And home safe

So others may come

Come and play the drums
