In Every Mythos/All Things Will Come Due

Tell me about

The golden skies

What gods would

Rule them if we

Were to believe in gods

Who dictates the

Clouds

Who dictates the

Dusk and dawn

Who dictates

Planets and stars

Who dictates the night

I will tell you

About

The deepest waters

What lives in the

Murkiest corners

How the currents sweep

Away the weak

How the seaweeds

Tumble and the creatures

Lurk and scheme

In the depths there is night

And dreams will tell us

Of places where they meet

Discard ideas

About globes and atmosphere

In every mythos

The sky meets the sea

Somewhere

And perhaps where they meet

Is like loving

That sentience could

Spring forth

Working minds and

Trodden dirt and

Pain and joy and growth

And we can stand there

Between the two nights

And know

That all things will come due

Eventually
