In The Gathering Darkness

Take two pills, give in and now

We go out to our city

Cherry gelato frosts the glass

A week long headache recedes

By the straight tracks, lean together

For warmth and comfort

The crows aren’t coming today

To stand witness to the trains

And in the gathering darkness I see

The echoes of a past love

I will always wonder if you are jealous

I will always wonder if you miss me
