Through The Hallway

Oh, are you not staying?

No.

But you will be sleeping here tonight?

Yes.

And I’ve gone away too many times

And one day I will truly be gone

But that is not today

And I’ll cry myself to sleep again

And curse the stars for their indifference

But that is not today

We will come to accept our fate

And learn to fill the gaping holes

But that is not today

Today we will organize our books

Sit in our shorts on the bed and

Feel spring blowing through the hallway and think, distantly

About the many faces of grief
