out looking for a lost piece of my soul in the dark

I guess it’s all

Right to burn time

Some days

Sit in the sun

Bake through my

Layers of black

Shirt and binder and

Long dark pants for skating

But I thought it might

Be better

And I felt at home when I

Stopped in for drinks

You waited

You waited for me to

Make drowsy appearances

And I think yet again

“I’ve moved on”

And I wish

Just a little

I called you friend more

Out looking for a lost

Piece of my soul in

The dark

Some strangers are helping

Me search

I know it’s a lost

Cause

I ask you how you’re doing

Instead

I don’t know if you’ll

Answer me

And it’s okay if you don’t

You are fighting a

Huge war unseen

Take your time

Just don’t

Please don’t let me be

Forgotten
