While The Concrete Burns

My sweet love watch

The skies for death

The sirens are screaming again

The streets are on fire

I can see it all

Behind my closed eyes

Feel the flames

Lick my arms

Where the old scars are

Scars over scars over scars

And while the concrete burns the

Clouds swirl and rage

Blacking out the sun

Turning the pale blue a

Dark charcoal and

Orange

Angry wind howling like

Abandoned hearts in sorrow

And when the rain

Begins

The raindrops are ashen and

Warm on my face

Standing in the blaze

Halfway to the stars

Halfway to oblivion

And alone

All alone
