TakingTheGreyhound

Cheers, darling

I’m taking the greyhound home

Because home is

Not a place

As much as I love and miss

My hometown

My home state is everything

I never asked for

But likely would have

Wanted

Home is an

Idea

It is finding

Like minds and like hearts

Making someone smile

Knowing you could appear on

Their doorstep some random day

And they wouldn’t mind the intrusion

Home could be so far away

Home could be where you stand

So a proper cheers is in order, darling

Because I’m taking the greyhound home

And when I

Get

Back

I’ll tell you all about

The many homes I found

All the smiles and

Appearing on doorsteps

And maybe one day you’ll

Join me

Finding homes

Smiles

Kindred souls

And we’ll take the greyhound home together
