Enduring Dawn

Spent a minute

Trippin

Behind closed eyes I

Think sweet thoughts

About the mountains at

Sunrise

How dear god I’m

Too tired for mornings

Misty trees

Clean rays of light

Much prefer hazy

Afternoons

When everything has warmed

Beneath

The blazing sun

So I could soak it in

As a rose buds and

Blooms

In spring

But

I will have you know

If you ask me to come

See the sunrise

Misty mountains and

Crisp air

I would

I would endure a dawn

For you
