Safe Haven

Would you know if

I never said

It’s things like this

Steep my tea without a timer

Forget to close the door

Behind me because I hope

You come out later

Stand here and wait for your return

Does anyone know how easy

It is to be free here

All the people with dyed hair and

Lemon dresses and ink on their skin forever

Lace fringing the lines of good and evil

And none of it still

And all of it temporary

I would stay here for hours just

To watch the world swirl through the door

Hope you would come and stay a while

It’s a safe haven for us both, really

Of all places to end up eventually

Let it always be here
