Brandy And Cake (revised)

I was out wandering

Paths twisting and turning

Sometimes with company

Sometimes alone

Wandering paths in the mind

Familiar

Looping

Footsteps to old thoughts

And I skate looping paths

Until my feet get away with me

And I think looping thoughts

Until there’s not much left to muse

And then I go in for tea

Later on there is brandy and cake

And later after that I think

Different

Looping

Thoughts

Ones about you

They loop every day

You in the sun

You in my arms

Your lips and your voice and your mind

You

A silhouette

A stunning form

A universe condensed into a person
