The Full Moon

•A poem written 08/22/2024.•

Dusk, soaked deepest blue

My favorite moments are here

Trees swaying gently

Gathering stars

The heralding and anticipation of darkness

Summer passes undocumented

Running ragged in the heat

Scrambling and scraping for peace

My only memories now are your face

Voices on the wind

A full moon
