It’s difficult

To be sad

When your eyes

Shine like stars 

I wish that could

Often

Mostly for your sake

But partially because

It’s heartening to see

More people 

Knew

How to make you shine

But we are

Self-centered creatures

Very little time is spent

Remembering

The joys of strangers
